Impressionism was not coined by Van Goth. Surrealism was not created by Dali. Cubism was not a genre created by Picasso. Rhythmism was coined and established by Onli!

After the inspirational success of Onli's first published Rhythmistic Future-Primitif character being featured on the outer wall of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, mural sized, per the 2021 blockbuster group exhibition, "CHICAGO COMICS: 1960 Until Now", curated by Dan Nadel, Prof. Onli has decided to revisit NOG. The original vision in 1981 was to create an entire body of Rhythmistic Fine Art based on NOG.

He is now producing an entire exhibition based on the images and narratives in this unique Graphic Novel that was published in 1981. This production should be completed by late January, 2023. Expect an exhibition that goes beyond the limits of trendy representation or popular protest statements in that NOG is a conceptual vehicle for the potential of Rhythmism as a genre and way of expression.
The first of these new exciting Rhythmistic paintings was featured in the 2021 retrospective solo exhibition Onli was honored with at the stately Gordon Parks Arts Hall of the University of Chicago.
Onli is one of the rare visual artists who actually conceived of a genre / movement. Typically the labels and names of visual art trends or genres are introduced and later established by Art Critics or historians. Being a product of the counter-cultural movements of the late 1960s Onli decided to accept this creative calling to fill the void in the canon of the visual arts. He saw Rhythmism and a Future-Primitif approach that is the intersection of vision & value."NOG Emerges": Oils on wooden panel. 36" X 24". 2021
