The Rhythmistic, "No Evils" collection of fine art paintings by Prof. Onli is a long evolving multicutural based flow of works that re-contextualizes the ancient Chinese proverb of "Seek No, Heed No & Speak No Evils".  Onli started this dynamic future-primitif collection in 1988 when he realized that China would become a major social, cultural and economic force on the world stage and would impact our ideas around "multiculturalism".

He uses baldness to represent a less vanity based purity of esthetics.  Nudity is about fertility.

Rhythmistic visual artist, Turtel Onli was photographed a few years ago at the ONLI STUDIOS when it was located in the massive Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago.  After seven years of being there he has returned to a super cool, lake view hi-rise live work space in the important Hyde Park district of Chicago.  

Onli is still committed to exploring his thesis of "Rhythmistim" in the visual arts with a diversified application.  This is a growing practice that spans across fine art, applied art and commercial art.

 "Local Brewz" is a series of paintings celebrating the explosion of locally carafted beers and other beverages.  Each museum profiled panel done in  acrylic on linen-painting is 24"W X 54"H.

 He has resurrected his "Rhythmistic Quilts" collaboration which started in the 1980s with quilting embellishments by Marian Hayes, followed by efforts by Cassandra Washington. But most of the collection was destroyed or seriously damaged in a live-work-space fire in 2001.  Now Onli feels the surge to rebuild them and is working with master quilter Patrick Whalen of the Quilters' Apothecary in Michigan City toward this end.

 Onli often exhibits in limited group showcases in Michigan City's Arts District as a member of Southern Shore Arts Associaiton.

Onli's graphic -novels work was part of the group exhibition curated by Prof. John Jennings & Damian Duffy at the Krannert  Museum.  Onli brought a group of his art students to review the exhibition, OUT OF SEQUENCE", featuring various comic book, and graphic novel illustrations.
